The original Startrac has been at work for several  years at hundreds of  great automated radio stations.

StarCommander is the ultimate answer to adapt multiple StarGuide II and III  Receivers  to most broadcast automation systems that require contact closures or a quick and safe way for live operator channel selection.  StarCommander is fully field programmable.  The setup is very user friendly and designed for programming by non-technical personnel. With a simple push of a button or contact closure, the operation can select the proper StarGuide Receiver, select the proper audio port and channel.  The controller can swap audio channels ( Channel A on Channel B or Channel B on Channel A).  This is extremely important for small automation systems and lowers the number of costly port audio cards or console inputs. It also makes it easy for on air board operators to switch channels without any confusion.

StarCommander  will accept 32 fully station programmable contact closures.  Simply plug the 6 ft. supplied cable from any DOS or Windows Based to program the StarCommander for your stations custom needs whenever programming needs change.. That's it!  For remote control from your studio, such as transmitter site, the StarCommander  is placed at the studio and connected to the StarGuide  II or III's  Receiver via a dedicated modem or data link. The data rate is fixed at 9600 baud.

StarCommander is supplied with all necessary cable, connectors and power supply and easy to use programming 3 1/2 diskette.  The unit is shipped with Receiver "1" selected .  StarCommander has been designed to operate with services provided by all the major radio network providers.
