EasyGuide 2000
Control 4 StarGuide II or III Receivers
Teamed with the new STARSCAN
Router, EasyGuide 2000 is the total automation software for your
StarGuide Receivers and will control up to 4 different receivers. The
NEW EasyGuide 2000 will keep all your
program channels coordinated and allow your station to take advantage of the
multi program offerings with a minimum of receiver audio cards. Bring new use to
your older 486 or later computer. EasyGuide 2000 will work with all radio networks
employing the StarGuide II and III Receivers.
EasyGuide is very
user friendly but yet a very powerful switching director for your StarGuide
Satellite Receivers. The system has the feel of Windows operation but operates
under DOS 5.0 and above. The software will operate on any DOS based computer
486 or greater with a speed of 166 Mhz or greater. A simple connection from the computer’s Com Ports
1-4, standard or non-standard IRQ's select puts all the switching power in your
control room. EasyGuide 2000 works with a single receiver directly or with STARSCAN
for multiple receiver control. Problems with the computers internal clock are history because
EasyGuide 2000 can get the time from the Network via the StarGuide II or
III Receiver and sets your computer clock.
EasyGuide 2000 keeps
full track of all dual channel audio cards. Special audio channel
selections makes programming very simple and straight forward. EasyGuide
2000 also monitors your receiver and displays signal strength and receiver channel
status plus all switching information for the broadcast day. The program can
control all five audio ports in the receiver. The software makes it possible to
not only switch the audio service channels but allow custom audio swaps. As an
example, take Channel “B” audio and put it on Channel “A” or vice-versa. Daily
event switch logging is included.
Quick manual control is one keystroke
away and makes it easy for on air personnel to make quick channel changes. Help
information is instantly available in the programming and edit positions.

"REC" - Enter receiver to program 1-4 .
“DATE” - Any date from the present to any
future date.
“DAY” - Space bar Selectable... example:
Select
Individual Days i.e. SUN, MON, TUE, WED, THU, FRI, SAT or for weekly
switches.
“M-F” Switch at the set time Monday-Friday “T-S” Switch at set
time Tuesday-Saturday
“DAI” Daily All times are then saved for
future switching or can be edited at anytime.
Entering a blank line
causes the program to switch one time only.
“TIME” - Entered in 24
hour format.
“PORT” - Space bar Selectable ... Ports in receiver
that have Audio Cards Installed. Can be “A - E “
”SERVICE” - Space bar
Selectable.. directly from the Receiver of Network Program
Channels.
“MODE” - Space bar Selectable... Allows full control of
receiver audio to Channel A or Channel B, Dual Channel, Swap Channel A to B and
Channel B to A. This feature is really used if your automation system has only
one Network Audio Input Channel.
“COMMENTS”- Any text note you
want to add to the entry.
